Meet Phil Cohen, President of EZ Staffing Factoring

Phil Cohen has been an authority in the factoring industry for more than 20 years. In 1999, Phil founded PRN Funding, which is a healthcare services factoring industry leader. After an influx of leads that did not fit into PRN’s market, Phil noticed a need and created Factor Finders, a factoring broker. The purpose of Factor Finders is to serve as a matchmaker between factoring companies and small businesses.

In addition to serving as president of PRN and Factor Finders, Phil has also made an impact on the factoring industry at large. He has been a member of the International Factoring Association since 2004 and he served on their advisory board from 2009-2011. Phil is also a board member of the American Factoring Association and he is a member of the Commercial Finance Association, where he serves on the board of directors.

Before he founded PRN Funding, Phil held VP-level positions in the medical transcription field. In that industry, he initiated corporate joint ventures, strategic alliances and growth initiatives. This experience showed Phil that many solid companies in the healthcare services industry were held back by a lack of funding options, which inspired him to enter the factoring broker industry. After discovering a similar need in the staffing industry, Phil created EZ Staffing Factoring. Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago.
